Aller Anfang ist schwer! Dies sind meine ersten Versuche mit einem Content Management System (CMS). Ich habe mich für “WordPress” entschieden, welches eigentlich ein reines Blogsystem ist, aber sich ebenso als “normale” Webseite konfigurieren lässt. Außerdem ist es Open Source und somit komplett kostenlos. Zunächst war ein Umzug auf einen “gescheiten” Server vonnöten. Das Hosting bei Strato ist einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß, da bei einer guten Ausstattung (mySQL, PHP, usw.) die Preise explodieren. Diese “Extras” sollten eigentlich Standard sein, da kaum jemand noch statische Seiten in reinem HTML erstellt. Daher entschied ich mich für einen Umzug zu Greatnet.de, hier ist, meiner Meinung nach, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis optimal. Der Umzug klappte reibungslos. Dies war mir besonders wichtig, da meine andere Seite www.superburgi.de nicht ausfallen sollte. Die Installation von WordPress ist recht simpel. Nur der Datenbankpfad muss angelegt werden und schon steht die Grundinstallation. Plugins gibt es reichlich, z. B. das von mir benutzte ICQ-Status-Plugin. Ebenso werden fertige Layouts, sog. “Themes” überall kostenlos im Netz angeboten. Naja und nun arbeite ich ständig an dieser Seite, also bitte nicht wundern wenn die Seite plötzlich komplett verändert aussieht. Das ist (meistens) pure Absicht ; ) Und nun viel Spaß beim lesen, bist wahrscheinlich auch schnell durch, da der Inhalt doch noch recht begrenzt ist. Bastian
